The Ultimate Law of Attraction Blog

The Science of Getting Rich is a little green book written by Wallace D. Wattles in 1910.

It is now referred to as a ‘timeless classic’ but like many such books has been recently re-discovered and spread with the help of the internet and revisited alongside New Age thinking.

Most recently, the book served as the inspiration for Rhonda Byrne, the creator of the hit movie, The Secret. Released in May 2006, The Secret features a wide cast of teachers, philosophers, writers and quantum physicists talking about the Law of Attraction, including Bob Proctor, Esther Hicks and Michael Beckwith.

In The Science of Getting Rich, Wattles refers to everything in the Universe having been created from a “formless stuff”. This “stuff” is open to being manipulated for our own ends in order that we can increase our lot in life and, most importanly, the lot of wider society.

My reading of it is that it is our duty to increase what we have in life so that we can be of more benefit to others.

Wattles calls this acting in a “CertainWay”.

He also goes on to talk about how we need to increase our wealth not in a “competitive way” (at others’ expense), but rather in a “creative way” (collaboratively to create for others as well as ourselves).

I am currently halfway through Bob Proctor’s Official Science of Getting Rich Seminar Program - a home study Program that is currently changing the mindset of thousands the world over.

Although I had already read the book before I wrote my own Law of Attraction book, the material in this Program is fascinating. I can’t seem to put it down. I am learning by the minute.

And I feel my mindset changing with each chapter I get through.
