10 Things You Need To Know About the Law of Attraction

Filed under: Law of Attraction — GK @ 3:24 pm
  1. The Law of Attraction is not some new invention. It’s always been around and it always will be.
  2. If you look at practically all of the great thinkers and religious texts throughout the ages and you will find the principles of the Law of Attraction embedded within them.
  3. Science is now discovering that the Law of Attraction appears to be the basis of our scientific world, through Quantum Physics. Even individual molecules appear to attract each other and ‘thought’ seems to be the underlying ‘glue’ that brings things together and forms things.
  4. The Law of Attraction exists whether you believe in it or not.
  5. Everything that comes into your life comes in as a result of the Law of Attraction – there are No exceptions.
  6. Attracting something positive is as easy as attracting something negative. It’s entirely dependent upon the intensity of your feeling around what you are attracting. So often the default mode is to attract the negative things in life because we get more worked up about them and focus on them too much.
  7. The Law of Attraction doesn’t have any religious bias or contradictions. It is about You and Your world. You can choose to be religious. You can choose not to be.
  8. You don’t have to believe in and follow the Law of Attraction. It is Universal and that means that it works all of the time on all things and all people.
  9. The key to using the Law of Attraction to get what you want is to be Grateful all of the time for the things that you already have and want more of. You can also accelerate the things you want by being grateful for the things you want to have by imagining already possessing them and being grateful for them.
  10. The Law of Attraction is meant to be FUN! It’s not meant to be a challenge. Do not worry about trying to be ‘happy’ or ‘positive’ all the time. Simply aim to feel Gratitude for the special things in your life. As I say in Law of Attraction in 30 Minutes, we all have things we can feel grateful for, if we look hard enough. A roof over our heads. People who care about us. A means of paying our bills….We just need to look closely enough.

What Have ‘The Secret’ teachers Done Since The Movie?

With rumours of The Secret 2 in post-production, here’s a quick round up of what we know teachers from this acclaimed movie have done since:

Joe Vitale – has brought out a number of books Zero Limits, Attractor Factor and The Missing Secret. He also has a new TV show in production (watch out for my next post).

Bob Proctor has continued touring and promoting his ever-popular Science of Getting Rich Program (SGR Program)

Rev. Michael Beckwith continues to work with his AGAPE International Spiritual Center and is a key player in The Science of Getting Rich Program.

Jack Canfield is also a part of The Science of Getting Rich Program and also has out a new book The Key to Living the Law of Attraction.

Esther Hicks has brought out a number of books and CDs on topics including The Law of Attraction.

This in spite of the alleged public falling out with Rhonda Byrne.

Rhonda Byrne has herself become a celebrity in her own right. She has continued to increase ‘content’ around the movie ‘The Secret’ in a seemingly generous manner, including her book ‘The Secret’. She has also allowed the hit movie to be shown on free-to-air television in her native Australia.

Perhaps there’s hope for the rest of the world finally getting to see this movie that has changed so many lives – spiritually, financially and emotionally.

These are some of the main players in the movie, but post a quick comment below if you have heard anymore about any of the other teachers from ‘The Secret’?

An abundant life without setting goals!

Filed under: Abundance, Manifestation, New Year — GK @ 3:27 pm

Apparently, today, 21st January, is the “most depressing day of the year”.

Who comes up with these things? Allegedly it’s due to a combination of poor weather at this time of the year, Christmas credit card gills coming back to haunt us and our perceived failings in following through on our New Year’s resolutions.

Now whilst this story sounds like something dreamt up by someone, somewhere to publicise something specific, it leads to a valid point.

I guess it’s an easy read, but hands-up if you’ve given up on your New Year’s Resolution already?

…Already?

My previous post asked for your New Year’s Resolutions and I can’t say I saw anything too difficult. This leads me to suspect that if people are giving up so early, then perhaps they’ve set the wrong goals. Or perhaps they’re setting too many goals?

In spite of my self-development and coaching training, my love of ‘lifelong learning’ and all things to create a better You, I don’t put too much stock in setting goals.

Some people live by them. They are meticulous in setting them and in ticking them off when they’ve achieved them.

To the point where I’m not sure if they have the time (or the inclination) to actually enjoy the things they do. And that’s the thing. Anyone who tells you to set goals (and they do so in good faith), will certainly tell you to set multiple goals and to extend them/set new goals when you are about to reach your current goal.

That puts us on a constant treadmill of meeting goals, day in, day out. With new goals replacing the ones we’ve achieved. But what is the point?

It’s not achieving the goal that matters. It should be enjoying what that goal brings you, that matters.

If it’s one thing life has taught me, it’s that life really is about the journey not actually the destination.

No matter where you are in your goal-setting, enjoy every single day. The goal itself isn’t so important. What is important is what you gain from it.

I hate to sound like a hippy but it really does not matter where you are going, but what does matter is how happy you feel along the way.If you can follow that, you’re well on your way to living a life of abundance.

Have You Read Joe Vitale’s Zero Limits?

I have and it’s been a fascinating read over the Holidays.

It’s one of the latest books by Joe Vitale (from The Secret) and Dr Hew Len Ihaleakala, a Hawaiian psychologist.

It’s about a modern version of the ancient Hawaiian spiritual practice of Ho’opopono.

In my post ‘What the…?’ I set out some of the basics of the book and promised to let you have a bit more information and whether I thought it was any good or not.

Well I certainly enjoyed it (and I don’t always enjoy everything from Joe Vitale). It’s certainly a different read.

It’s not so much an instructional manual, it’s more of a personal journey for Joe as he learns Ho’oponopono from Dr Hew Len Ihaleakala. And he takes us along as he travels this part spiritual/part manifestation path and along the way, we get to learn a bit about Ho-oponopono.

I can’t say we learn a lot, because it is truly so simple that there isn’t actually a lot to learn.

The phrases….

I’m Sorry.

Please forgive me.

Thank You.

I Love You.

…pretty much sum up the philosophy.

Basically, in order to get in touch with the Divine inside of you, you accept that any faults You see in others are for You to heal.

One of the primary ways to do this is to say the phrase above whilst thinking of or viewing the ‘problem’ in mind.

There is, of course a lot more to Ho’oponopono than this and I will explore a bit more about my thoughts on it in future posts.

But I encourage you to take a look at it. If you’re not looking for a step by step manual, it’s certainly worth exploring. And unlike many of the things around the Law of Attraction and Manifestation, it doesn’t focus on getting you material things.

It’s actually about achieving inner peace, so that the things that you want can arrive (if you still desire them).

If you have already read Zero Limits, drop me a line here sharing what you think of it.

Yours,

GK

For many people this is the end of a ‘gruelling’ first full week back at work, for 2008.

Were there more problems than you remember before Christmas?

If you’re like most people, the answer to all  the above questions was YES! Don’t worry - the weekend’s here and I’m about to do something nice for you.

Jury’s in…

Filed under: Advice Column, Ask GK, Law of Attraction, New Year — GK @ 10:41 am

Evening all.

In my post of 29th December (Out with the Old…) I asked for thoughts on where you, my readers, would like this Blog to go next.

Thanks for all your comments. I am still sifting through a few of them to see how I can make them work.

But in the meantime, I’ve decided to implement one of them pretty much immediately - The Ultimate Law of Attraction Blog Advice Column.

I’m talking to my ‘webbie’ to find out how best we can set this up for you all - my thinking is some kind of widget in a sidebar. I also want to include some kind of LOA wiki that we can build on over time (Dave J - thanks for that one). My intention being that it will provide information from all of us, not just from me.

Anyways, one of my New Year’s Resolutions (yes I know I said I didn’t need them earlier ;-o) is to keep my posts shorter. So that’ll be it for now.

If you have any suggestions that you need advice on ‘How to use the Law of Attraction’, drop me a line at Questions@in30minutes.net (with Ask GK in the Subject) and/or leave me a comment on this blog.

“Why isn’t the Law of Attraction working for me?”

Has this thought ever crossed your mind? If it hasn’t yet, it probably will at some point.

So.…you’ve got the Vision Board.

….You focus on it daily.

You’ve got your Gratitude List.

….You add to it daily.

You started out believing in the Law of Attraction, but…you’re simply not seeing the results you desire. So what now?

Well firstly, STOP THINKING LIKE THAT!

The first thing to remember is that you get what you are feeling Every Single Time. It may take time for you to get what you are feeling, but in time it will happen.

Those of you who’ve read my book, Law of Attraction in 30 Minutes know that I repeat this over and over again.

So why on earth do you want to undo weeks, months, maybe years of focusing on the things you want by allowing doubt to creep in? It doesn’t make sense.

“I know, but how do I snap myself out of this…feeling that I’m not going to get what I want”? Here’s a way:

Okay. Imagine what you want (choose one of the things on your vision board).

Now think of the opposite of that thing. (So if you want a new flat screen, think of the opposite of it; if you want a new sports car, think of the opposite – a broken down jalopy!)

Take the picture of your broken down jalopy and make like you’re going to put it onto your vision board.

Now I know what you’re thinking, “Why would I do that? I don’t want to attract a jalopy? I want a sports car”

My point exactly.

If you focus on the fact that you haven’t yet received the things you desire, you are doing Exactly The Same Thing! Focusing on the opposite of what you want and attracting That instead.

So next time your thoughts start to roam onto “I wonder why I haven’t got that new……yet” (fill in the blanks yourself), imagine yourself sticking a picture of a rusty old bucket of a car, or a teeny tiny, black and white portable TV from the 70s onto your vision board.

If that doesn’t raise a smile to your face, stop your negativity in its tracks and turn your focus around, I doubt much else will.

One of the other things you can do is start to take action more - actively look for the little coincidences and strange occurences around you that May (just may) lead you to the things that you want.

In my experience, they are not likely to be a flashing neon sign at the side of the road saying ‘New sports cars going cheap here!’ Most likely, they won’t look like taking you directly to your desired goal. But…they may just lead you to a party, where you meet a person, who knows someone who’s got the same sort of car and wants to trade.

And if you didn’t take the first step of going to that ‘unconnected’ party, you would never have arrived at your destination.

Yours,

GK

What’s with the Intelligent Warrior Subliminal Videos?

I’ve been asked by one of my long-standing readers, “what’s with the Subliminal Videos, GK? Where do they fit in with the Law of Attraction?

That’s an easy one to answer.

In my book, Law of Attraction in 30 Minutes, I regularly point out that “we get what we are thinking and feeling….Everytime“.

In other words, we get what we focus on internally. Our external world reflects our internal thoughts, impressions and views. And that’s where I believe that Reprogramming the Mind with subliminals, or any other method can help.

Reprogram your thoughts and hold those thoughts internally and over time, you attract the things you are now thinking of.

It’s as simple as that.

I don’t think any psychologist would dispute the theory. the only thing they might dispute is whether subliminal videos are the best way to Reprogram Your Mind.

Having used Nelwon Berry’s Intelligent Warrior videos for a number of weeks, I now believe that they do.

But that’s why I want readers to download the full-working Inetlligent Warrior #4 video (in my previous post “My Christmas Gift to You” to see whether my success is repeated in others.

If it is, then we’ve stumbled upon a way to remove one of the greatest obstacles to getting what you want in life. The real secret behind The Secret.

Don’t forget to get your Free download here and take part in my ‘Manifestation Experiment’.

Happy New Year to One and All

Filed under: Law of Attraction, New Year — GK @ 7:48 am

May the Law of Attraction bring you all that you Desire in 2008.

And remember, don’t ever give up on the Law of Attraction, because it will still be working in your life whether you believe in it, or not. If you give up, you will go back to randomly attracting things (mainly the things you DON’T want).

…And you don’t want that, do you?

(PS: Let me know how you spent your New Year’s Eve/Day? I’m intrigued as to how people celebrate it around the world)

To Your Success,
