I hear that Douglas Vermeeren has now begun work on a second movie. The title has not yet been announced but it looks exciting and his website announced a trailer will be going on youtube in the next few weeks.

I also like Doug Vermeeren. I think he is very genuine and sincere and his teaching method is very fresh. What he has too say is maybe not that new, but the way he says it comes across powerfully. He is one of my favorite teachers, but not the only one. I really like John Demartini, Jack Canfield and several others. One thing I will say about Vermeeren is that he certainly has proven that as a "new kid on the block" he is a personal development teacher that is going to really be making some waves. And for that I give him total Kudos. It's about time someone started shaking things up.

I don't want this to sound like Vermeeren's fan club, but I too am a huge supporter. He has made an extremely incredible difference in our family and especially with my son. I won't get into details but I will say in no uncertain terms that he has had an effect on my son that has literally changed his life (maybe even to the point of saving it.) My vote is 100% for Vermeeren as the strongest personal development teacher (and especially for our family) of all time. We have seen the Secret, we have seen The Opus we have seen so many of the new films coming out and they are great. But the day we saw Mr. Vermeeren live was a day I will not forget and the days and weeks after have really been the true test. I am still inspired and do things very differently. But more important than that my son who was diagnosed with depression and who had been without ambition since high school is now making plans to return to college and is doing wonderful things that I never dreamed possible.

I would have to agree with Lorna
as well. I have had a chance to see both films and here many of the speakers from The Secret and a
few of The Opus speakers live. No
doubt that there are all very powerful and influential people, But
Douglas Vermeeren is definitely
my favorite. Quite frankly there
really isn't anyone who leaves
you feeling as empowered and as
inspired. As Lorna has stated above the greatness of a teacher is in how they can benefit their students. Now don't get me wrong - lots of great stuff from everyone involved, but Doug Vermeeren actually changed my life. There are measurable things that I actually do differently everyday because of one of his talks. And I have also been to use his tools to get actual real world results - not just motivation. My vote also goes for Vermeeren as the #1 personal development teacher in the business today.

(sorry my comments may not be formatted proper - trying to do this from a handheld)

Lorna - thanks for sharing.

I've only seen Douglas Vermeeren in trailers for The Opus, so far, but he seems like the real thing.

From your comments, he also sounds like he's giving out quite practical information, which was (in my mind) perhaps the only failing of The Secret. For me, The Secret was more inspirational than educational.

If The Opus addresses that then they may have a winner on their hands.

I've got to watch it now and provide my own thoughts on it....watch out for that future post!

Have a great day

I know you are looking specifically for teachers from the secret, but in my opinion Douglas Vermeeren from the Opus was far stronger than all the teachers in the Secret and all the other teachers in The Opus put together. He shared practical real life applicable information that has directly effected my efforts to create a more significant quality of life. I have also seen the effect that his clear and distinct principles have had in my office - people are actually different and doing wonderful things. We have real measurable results. Not just a motivation that fades once the film has ended. I think the other teachers would do well to try and get the kind of clarity he achieves in his teaching methods. For me the strength in a teacher should always come down to the fruits of those he is teaching and how he blesses their lives. I also appreciate the genuineness and sincerity of his message. Douglas Vermeeren gets my vote as #1.

Great comments, folks. Keep them coming in.

Dave - that's why I republished my book, Law of Attraction in 30 Minutes - to give people that level of information.

Step by step instructions on precisely what to do, with practical tools to help.

Keep reading this blog and I'll post more about The Opus and Secret 2 when I hear more.

I'm not that impressed with what I've seen of the Opus so not sure if I will watch it.
It doesn't take things forward any from The Secret.

People need to know what to do next. What's the next level? Stuff like that.

Joe Vitale everytime. I hope he's in Secret II.

I'm going to watch The Opus - is it out yet? He's in that too. Kind of interested in his tv show.

My favourite is Esther Hicks - I've got alot of her books.

but I'd really like to see 'Abraham' in the Secret 2 this time. I find her words much more inspiring as Abraham.
