I read somewhere (might have been on my favourite astrology website by Jonathan Cainer) and the underlining message was that there is a fundamental shift going on in the world right now. I’m not a huge astrology nut, so if you know the technical terms for any of this please post a comment with them.
As part of this, the theory goes that we are all becoming more aware of our environment, not just in an ecological sense, but also in a metaphysical sense. We are in effect raising our vibration level.
Perhaps the election of Barack Obama as the next President of the USA is a reflection of this? Certainly if he delivers the things he has promised and keeps talking in the same magnanimous way as he has done during the election, then I think he will change the superpower that is the USA.
Perhaps as we begin to rise from the disaster that is the global credit crunch, we will see a less material world. One less driven by profit-above-all free market thinking that has (we now realise) the world to it’s economic knees.
(Editor’s note: Don’t get me wrong, I am a firm believer in capitalism - partiicularly as it seems to be the only one that works. But left to its own devices, human nature and greed can take things too far, if not regulated, if only from extremes).
I’ve said before that I do believe that as our individual levels of consciousness increases, the collective consciousness of the world simply must too evolve to higher levels. And so on.
One thing we should not do, however, is throwo the babyu out wityh the bath water. That is, we shouldn’t get rid of the things that have worked so well for the world and helped us develop higher levels of sophistication, whereby we’re living on average 15 years longer than our grand parent.
So the message is - keep working on raising the level of your own vibration by using the Law of Attraction and any other method you know of. That in turn will raise the vibration levels of those around you, and so on.
And Congratulations to Barack Obama and Joe Biden. A lot of people are hoping for great things from you both. So long as we don’t get too carried away in our high expectations, I believe you’re going to deliver.

I’ve been pretty out of sorts over the past week and a bit. One of my best friends died suddenly and at the young age of 32.
He had some addiction problems and relied on me “like an older brother” and I too had learnt to rely on him, sharing with him some of my own ‘personal’ problems.
Even now when I have the sort of problem I would normally share with him, I feel a deep twinge of sadness. I’m sighing alot these days. But in many ways, he is out of his suffering now and has moved on (I believe) to a better place.
I am sure he is truly at peace.
So why am I rambling about this? Well for one thing, it’s my way of saying goodbye to a dear friend. And two, it’s to remind you that life really is for living.
We honestly do NOT know what lies around the corner, for ourselves or for those around us.
Don’t hold back. Life really is too short.
Like they say ‘dance like no one’s watching’ ;-o)

Using the Law of Attraction!
Credit crunch, economic crisis, global whatever you want to call it, everyone (and I mean everyone) is talking about the financial turmoil going throughout the world.
What started as a property crisis in America has triggered a worldwide panic never seen before.
That said, I am currently reading George Soros’ ‘The Crisis of Global Capitalism’, published in 1998. It’s been on my book shelf since 2001 and I have only just picked it up.
In it, Soros predicts a global meltdown of the markets never witnessed before. He is, like many of the alleged ‘doomsayers’, stunningly accurate at how this meltdown will happen. Uncannily so.
But he does offer solutions as to how the crisis could be resolved and suggestions for the best way forward.
Anyway, back to you and how you can keep using the Law of Attraction with the credit crunch casting a dark shadow over all of us all.
So, my suggestions for navigating through all this:
- Don’t panic (even if you have savings or money invested). Do get financial advice, but don’t over react to the situation or you may make inadvertently things worse.
- Try to switch off from all the negativity. Often easier said than done, but to my mind, certain media outlets are absolutely loving this ‘crisis’ and are practically talking up the negative aspects, probably as they believe that this sells best. But if you absorb too much of this negativity, it will seriously affect your own level of vibration. Even if your savings are tied up in all this, there are some safeguards around (if banks fold, etc).
- Bear in mind that this will all pass. This is important, so I will repeat it ‘This will all pass’. We are not going to be in a financial crisis for ever. Within weeks, definitely months, we will have passed through the worst of this and will then be in a recession (economically, recessions happen cyclically). Many argue that recessions are a natural part of the economic cycle – a chance for the markets to correct themselves. But this time, the correction needed is far larger than ever before.
- Some good WILL come from this. I used to dabble in stocks and shares and the reason I stopped was because I had some serious misgivings about the perceived value of stocks traded (many, many times the value of stock/product held, or contracts the company had lined up). Basically, many companies seemed to me incredibly over-valued. The good to come from this will be (at least in the short term), that shares and businesses as a whole will be more realistically valued and the herd mentality that seems to follow the whole financial sector will hopefully mature. Here, George Soros has some very valid observations as to why the herd mentality exists and even thrives.
Remember that your own personal vibration is the single most important thing in your life. It draws to you all of the things around you.
You must nurture and protect it at all costs.
By all means, listen to the financial advice and make sure your finances are reasonably safe, but don’t let outside things (or other people) bring your vibration level down.
Stay focused ;-o)

That’s exactly what one of my readers said when we were discussing one of the more important, yet fun tools to bring what you want using the Law of Attraction (thanks Sheryl). That tool is the Vision Board.
It isn’t the only thing you can use to get what you want, but it is one of the more powerful tools I recommend in my book, Law of Attraction in 30 Minutes
I’ve talked about my ‘magical’ Vision Board in previous posts, but it’s worth looking at it again as it is SUCH a powerful way to manifest what you want.
For me, the fun is partly in building the Vision Board - choosing the things I want in my life, getting the right pictures and focussing on what sort of things I want. It’s a bit like being a millionaire in a showroom - whatever you want - it’s yours!
Then the second part is when the fun kicks in. It truly becomes a pleasure to look at your Vision Board everyday, just for a few minutes if that’s all you can afford. Going round the pictures and words, actually feeling as if the things are already yours. You’re already driving that car, you can not only see it, but also feel it. You can smell it and ehar the noise it makes with you in it.
Then, you’re actually living the dream.
Now to the sceptics out there, this isn’t anything new in so far as at its base level, this is simply a form of visualisation. World class athletes have been using these techniques since the late 60s and 1970s. Athletes tend to use it only on one thing at a time - winning the next race, or setting a new personal best.
But with the Vision Board, we get to focus on any number of things at a time.
Anyway, back to Sheryl, she was new to the Law of Attraction having heard about it from The Opus, she has since watched The Secret and read my book, but was already having some incredible results.
The reason why she was getting results so quickly, wheras some people don’t see immediate results and give up, is because she kept her ‘wishes’ simple and really quite basic.
In Sheryl’s own words:
“There are lots of things I could wish for but I’m really not that brave to ask for that little green sports car I wanted when I turned 21. So I started asking for simple things - a good day at the supermarket (only on the checkout, not stacking shelves
and I got it. Then I thought ‘well if I can get this, let’s step it up a notch’ and I started focusing on bigger things - 2 weeks leave I’ve never really been allowed to take. And I got it - my regular supervisor got a promotion to another store and my new supervisor said ‘yes!’
So of course, now I KNOW this stuff works I’m really stepping it up 2 notches! I’ve got my dream house in Conneticut and I know exactly which car I want in my driveway - my little green sports car!”
So there you have it.
