I REALLY LOVE my iPhone.
And because of it, I’m really getting into Podcasting (I no longer have to wait until I’m at a computer to get my pods).
Recently I’ve been listening to a really cool podcast called ‘Introducing The New Man (I hate that phrase, too) - Beyond the Macho Jerk’. (Editor’s Note - Ladies, keep reading as there’s something in here for all of us - women included.)
The Podcasts are hosted by Trip Meniere (sorry for typos) and there are a couple of things that I’ve found really useful and will cover briefly in my next couple of posts.
The first one was a simple but smart way of taking on your life rather than simply letting life do whatever it does to us. One of Trip’s guests said that he always likes to ask himself the following question every once in a while as a sort of sanity check.
Simply ask yourself:
“What would I do if I weren’t afraid (of anything)”
(Another way to put it might be ‘What would you do if you could do anything?’
Sounds quite simple, but if you ask yourself this question and honestly give yourself an answer, this will tell you where you should be putting your focus if you truly want to lead the life that you want.
Don’t let tomorrow get in the way of your future. I’m not saying give up the mortgage or the relationship that isn’t working. But what I am saying is we all rally need to start focusing on what we REALLY want and start planning for those things to happen.
If you don’t even acknowledge what you want, it’s pretty unlikely that you’ll ever get it.
And if not in this life, which life are you waiting for?
Drop me a comment and let me know what you would do if you weren’t afraid of anything and I’ll tell you how to get it. And watch out for more real soon.

I see you love your iPhone. Would you like to try out my new iPhone app… the Abundance Pak (part of pockethypnosis.com). It’s for people who follow the Law of Attraction. It has a vision board, daily meditation and a gratitude board. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.

What I would do, is to venture on a really good business. I’ll invest my little savings into something that could increase my current earnings. I’m looking into something that is networked, so that sales and production gets multiplied fast. What do you think?

Michelle - I like your thinking. Lots of luck with your business venture. I actually think that right now is the best time for business ventures - the credit crunch is making us work harder and we have to really focus on only the best deals to make things work.
That is good practice that will stand us well when things get back to normal.

John - thanks for the heads-up.
I’ve now downloaded and have started using your iPhone apps.
They’re pretty cool. I guess there are so many more additional version you could produce to help people?
Let me know if you produce some more - they work pretty well for me.

What would I do? Anything that i know is holding me back from my potential. For example, right now, I know i need to cold call some very important people in order to get a bit of a business deal going. I have simply put it off because of not knowing how the outcome will pan out. That was a good post. It makes you step back and ask yourself why am i afraid to do this? Personally, i’ve decided just because of this post to go ahead and make the very best of a sticky situation. Face your fears. They are not hardly ever as bad as you think will be!

Dwight
I like your drive and glad to hear that my post inspired you to take action.
And remember, there’s no such thing as failure. You will gain a little something from every cold call that you make.
If you don’t make that call, you gain nothing at all. Stepping stones is all they are - you never know which one is going to close the deal for you and often it’s not quite the one that you thought would do it. It’s the one just after ;-D)
Keep me posted on the business deal

FEAR (False Evidence Appearing Real)
I would push a mountain in the sea for everyone to see.

I love, love, LOVE this idea! Exactly! What WOULD we do if we weren’t afraid?
You just made me realize that I’m not as afraid as I thought I was!
I quit an abusive boss in a dead end job and I’m making my ventures work right out of my home office!
Thank you for making the proverbial light bulb go off over my head.
Feel welcome to take a look at my blogs also. Just visit http://teachersofattraction.blogspot.com

FEAR (False Evidence Appearing Real)
So True. So many times we fear over nothing. Without fear we would be so powerful. Imagine life with no barriers.

I use to be afraid of everything, but through tough love and focusing on the type of person I wanted to be, instead of focusing on the things I didn’t like about myself, I overcame most of my fears.
