The same old questions often keep cropping up in life……
One of the most popular ones I see time and again is “How long will it take to get what I want using the Law of Attraction”?
In some ways, the follow up question could be “…and how long is a piece of string?” (just kidding
But the point I am making is not too far removed from that. It depends partly upon what you are seeking, how close to it you already are (or how far away) and also that ‘big unknown’ how powerfully can you regularly focus on it until you get it.
And by regularly I mean not just for a few minutes of each day, but how well you have transcended into much more helpful state where you think about the things that you want pretty much continually, in the back of your mind.
To the point where your regular focus sessions (I suggest up to 30 minutes in my book, Law of Attraction in 30 Minutes) become simply a mechanism for topping up or recharging your desire and focus.
The desire and focus then lingering on in your mind for the next 24 hours at least.
Plus, the most important thing is that more than simply believing you are going to get what you want, you simply know that you’re going to receive it. That’s the place you want to be in.
Because each doubt in your mind, even held for just a few seconds, begins to unravel all of your previous good works.
So don’t hope that this will work. Rather simply trust that it will and eventually you will feel that it has to work and it will work.

Your personal momentum is developing and will surely increase as a result. Truth be known, you must get the small things before you can manifest the Big Things you want.
- A deadline you’ve set for something to arrive simply passes without you getting what you want. The Solution: Try not tothink about deadlines or set goals that have a finite deadline on them “I need to get admission to that College this September” Trying to force The Universe to give you what you want exactly when you want it is a bit like insisting that God meetYOUR deadline. The Universe knows far better than we do, what is best for us in the long run. We are like children in a sweet shop. Let go of deadlines and focus on the feeling you will get when IT arrives.
- You believe that for you to get what you want, you believe you need others to change - “my husband has to change if our relationship is going to get better”. The Solution:Remember, the Law of Attraction can only be used to attract things to yourself - you CANNOT change others. Change yourself and your world will change around you.
- You haven’t seen any visible signs that you are making progress and start to wonder “when will I get this thing?” The Solution: Try to look for more subtle signs that will lead you to what you want. Often it’s not the more obvious signs that lead you to where you want to be, it’s the seemingly ‘unrelated’ things that don’t particularly look as if they will lead you to your goal that take you to where you need to be. So what you need to do is simply let go of definitive action for a while and simply follow your heart - if you suddenly feel like visiting someone you haven’t seen for a while, then do so. This may or may not lead you to where you want to be, but you have to learn to let go and start simply enjoying the journey.
The attachment to material things can often lead you astray. Remember, it is not actually HAVING something that matters most. It’s the joy that you will get (when you have that thing) that matters more. Often you will find that you can gain true happiness without actually owning the thing you desire by simply enjoying the feeling. Strange, but true.
